My Story
When our daughter was four, she spoke only in short phrases like “Water for the pasta…” I vividly remember sitting on my kitchen floor in tears after realizing the Montessori school we visited wasn’t the right fit. Later that week, a speech-language pathologist told me: “Your daughter needs explicit instruction.” Those words changed everything.
I immersed myself in learning what explicit, systematic instruction could do for children with language delays. With the guidance of skilled specialists, our daughter began making steady progress—reading her first stories, gaining confidence, and eventually thriving. Today, she is applying to graduate school.
That journey led me to train and become certified in the Orton-Gillingham approach. I know what it feels like to worry about your child’s future, and I know the joy of watching them succeed. My mission is to walk alongside families, bringing both expertise and compassion, so that every child can go from “learning to read” to “reading to learn”.
